GLOBAL VILLAGE PROJECT’S FIRST AUTHORS’ TEA  

Hosted by Global Village Project 

When: Friday, September 21st at 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Where: Global Village Project, 205 Sycamore Street, Decatur, GA 30030

What: Global Village Project empowers young women – who have previously missed years of school – to learn, take risks, and build their confidence and abilities to pursue their dreams. The Authors’ Teas, held 3-4 times each school year, are a special time for students to share and showcase their learning and for GVP’s friends to gather around them as a community of support. The reception provides an opportunity for guests to mingle and converse with students, faculty, volunteers and friends as we continue to grow our global village. We hope that you can join us!

SHOP START:ME MARKET

Hosted by Refuge Coffee Co.

When: Saturday, September 29th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Where: Refuge Coffee Co., 4170 E Ponce de Leon Ave, Clarkston, Georgia 30021

What: The event will feature some of Shop Start:Me Market’s great alums from each of the three Start:ME communities: Clarkson, East Lake, and the Southside. There will be a showcasing of their award-winning art, global fashion, delicious food, and family-fun activities. Start:ME is a free, intensive 14-session accelerator for promising local entrepreneurs who live in, work in, and/or provide valuable products and services.

14TH ANNUAL TEA WALK 2018

Hosted by Center for Pan Asian Community Services

When: Saturday, October 13th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Where: Center for Pan Asian Community Services, 3510 Shallowford Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30341

What: Join the Center for Pan Asian Community Services and walk in solidarity as one family, one community and one America in the largest empowerment walk of its kind in the South – TEA Walk, Together Empowering Asian Americans. Ever-increasing numbers of Atlanta’s diverse community participate year after year to celebrate and empower Asian Americans and their diverse communities.

Before and after the walk, festivities include free multicultural foods, free t-shirt, civic engagement, entertainment & more.
